Imke is a PhD student in the Quantum Control Group.
She completed her bachelor’s thesis at the HOT (Hannoversches Zentrum für Optische Technologien), where she built and characterised a fibre interferometer for the detection of Hong–Ou–Mandel interference between temporal modes.
She joined the group in 2024 for her master’s thesis. During this work, she analysed active and passive stabilisation schemes to reduce laser power noise in the frequency range from 500 kHz to 2 MHz. This resulted in the implementation of a passive filter cavity, which is now used in the light preparation for quantum noise cancellation Experiments.
